The PV913 is a Conexant Stratford based DVB-T TV Tuner Card for SDTV and HDTV reception and supports Mpeg and AC-3 Audio.

There are no Video Inputs on the PV913 only the Antenna, RF Out Connectors and Remote Control Sensor socket.

The PV913 is not bundled with any viewing software.

The product is supplied with BDA drivers and all versions up to and including 4.0.108.2 will work fine. this enables the PV913 to function with any 3rd party software such as Mediaportal, GBPVR, Mytheatre and XPMCE.

In order for the PV913 to work with XPMCE the psisdecd.dll file in XPMCE need to be replaced with one that contains Australian Frequencies. Information on the Vstream driver page.

There are quite a few products now based on the Conexant Stratford design like the V-Stream. The drivers for these products are generally interchangeable and also the supplied applications will work with each other.

The PV913 works brilliantly with XPMCE2005, in fact so well I decided the change my HTPC from Showshifter to XPMCE2005.

There was nothing wrong with the operation in Showshifter but I found the EPG was easier to set up in XPMCE when using EPGRunner. Although XPMCE captures the DVB-T stream in it's own format DVR-MS I actually found less problems when burning to a DVD.

I would get A/V sync problem on some channels with shows recorded with Showshifter but not with XPMCE.

I use Videoredo which accepts the DVR-MS file and saves the edited file as separate audo/video or VOB files to be used in your favorite DVD authoring software.

Of course there is no sound from channels running AC3 in XPMCE but in my area only 2 of the HDTV channels run AC3 and since I don't have a 100metre TV screen in the lounge room ( most people don't ) I fail to see the need for HDTV in the first place.

It's such a waste of bandwidth. The picture quality from SDTV transmissions are excellent and they fit nicely on DVD's.

If you don't need S-Video or Composite video inputs then the PV913 is an ideal DVB-T card.
