Drivers for use in XPMCE2005

There are 2 versions of drivers that will work with XPMCE2005.

4.0.108.2 and a modified 4.0.108.2 that will report as being 4.0.108.0

It makes no difference which driver you use in XPMCE but it depends on whether you wish to use the DVBPlus application in XPMCE2005 ( after stopping the Ehome Services)

The modified driver allows you to run the DVBplus application version 2.13 in XPMCE.

Driver version 4.0.108.2 allows you to run DVBplus application version 2.21 in XPMCE.

In order for these drivers to work correctly in XPMCE2005 you will need to do the following:-

1) Replace your psisdecd.dll file with either one from the "Australian XP Media Center Community" site or one you have modified yourself.

    Boot in safeMode and replace the psisdecd.dll file in \windows\system32

    Also place a copy of this file in  \windows\driver cache\i386

    Remember, it is best to do this in "Safe Mode"

2)Change the "Bandwidth" to 7 in

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Tuning Spaces\7\Default Locator

Remember to reboot. All Australian Channels should now be found.

SHOWSHIFTER

The Modified driver may also help those who can't get Showshifter to work in XP not XPMCE

It will take about 50mins to do an auto scan but it appears to work.

BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD THE MODIFIED FILE - Read This

Like any "mod" to anything it's to be used at your own risk.

If you don't have your valueable data backed up or you are not a skilled computer user, my advise is " do not try this modified driver "

By downloading this file, it is assumed that you have the ability to get yourself out of a problem should one occur.

It's possible the uninstall procedure may not work  with this driver
 

Modified Driver - Vstream.zip 227Kb    Run the setupdrv.exe to install.

4.0.108.2 Driver - Vstream2.zip 223Kb Run the setupdrv.exe to install.

4.0.108.3 WHQL - 401083.zip 223Kb   No setup exe file included - update each driver

4.0.108.4 WHQL - v4.0.108.4_051130.zip 2.4Mb  Run the setupdrv.exe to install.
